Coupon Website Lingo

I found this in the April issue of All You and that it would be interpreting to pass on to everyone. Below is a list of coupon lingo that is used on websites and blogs, now you will understand what they are talking about! (Source: ALL YOU, April 23, 2010)


Coupon Inserts:
P&G – Proctor & Gamble
RP – Red Plum
SS – Smart Source
V – Valassis
WYB – when you buy
IPQ – internet printable coupon
$1/1, $1/2 - $1 off one item, $1 off 2 items, etc.
2/$1, 3/$2 – two items for a $1, 3 items for $2, etc.
BOGO – buy one item, get one free
B2GO – buy 2 items, get one free
Blinkies – in-store coupon dispensing machines with blinking lights
Cat – Catalina (coupon machine that prints at register)
FAR – Free after rebate
MFG – manufacturer
MIR – main-in rebate
OYNO – on your next order
OOP – out of pocket
PSA – prices starting at
UPC – Universal Product Code (bar code)
YMMV – your mileage may vary – meaning some stores might give you a deal but other might now

Some additional lingo I use:
GE – Giant Eagle
LOL – Land of Lakes
GM – General Mills coupon insert
ECB's - Extra Care Bucks from CVS
RR - Register Rewards from Walgreens
SCR - Single Check Rebates from Rite Aid
